The Basics of Homeopathy: What You Need to Know

Updated: Mar 2

What are homeopathic remedies? What's in it? How does it work?

Homeopathic remedies are highly diluted and powerful products that alleviates symptoms and restores homeostasis at a cellular level. Homeopathy is generally safe for use in adults, unconscious people, children, animals, and plants. It helps the body detoxify and drain intra and extracellular spaces, tissues, and organs and renews its own vitality. Homeopathic remedies have a designated level of frequency that is fine tuned to a client's area of concern. This permits for removal of blockages, therefore self-healing can take place. The body will remember its innate ability to heal by the example of how the remedy acts (because sometimes the body needs a little reminder). This is especially true if someone has been taking medications to suppress symptoms (suppressive therapy, antibiotics, anti-inflammatories). In this case, the body "forgets" how to heal itself.

Homeopathy addresses all aspects of a person such as physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual struggles. I once heard a saying, "Homeopathy borders on matter and spirit." Homeopathy works with the body to get to the root cause of what is distressing the client. Seventy percent of homeopathies are made from plants that have been diluted in either alcohol, distilled water, or glycerin creating liquid tinctures that dosed by drops per day. Some of these products come in different sized pellets made of sucrose and lactose that can be placed sublingually, pills, powders, nasal, ophthalmic, otic, and suppository. Classical homeopathy uses products from 3 categories: plant, mineral, and animal.
